Dear Tory,
I learned to celebrate from the children within. They would want a treat or toy and we'd always get it if we could -- all personalities being equal. We began to get other things we wanted not just needed and began to go out and do things--sometimes alone but usually in groups. We felt so guilty. Then my therapist said I was really experenceing healthy things and it's perfectly ok to spend or do things just because it's fun. Having learned to trust him, we sort of decided to get treats or a gift for each other. Now that Dollar Stores exist we get more for many. It's ok to like selves even if it's not the NORMAL way. Being split into a we person is the 'normal' we grew up with. So if ya can't beat them join them. Not to be flippant or disrespectful, but as we began to work together we grew strong enough to finally really like a lot about a lot of us.
polly f.
